Your patterns

Nothing logged yet. Log your first urge and patterns start to show up here. Resisted ones count too, they're the most useful.

Stored only in this browser. Anyone who can open this browser can read it, and clearing your browser data erases it.

Why tracking triggers works

Urges feel like they come out of nowhere. They don't.

Almost every urge has something right before it: a feeling, a place, a time of day. You can't see the pattern from the inside, because in the moment all you notice is the urge. Written down over two weeks, it's usually obvious, and a little embarrassing in how predictable it is.

That predictability is the good news. You can't fight "urges". You can absolutely plan for "in bed with my phone after 11 on a stressful day".

How to use it

1

Log it right away

As soon as you notice the urge, win or lose. Ten seconds. Memory rewrites these moments fast, so later is too late.

2

Log the wins too

A resisted urge shows you the trigger and what worked. Put what helped in the note.

3

Read the pattern after 10 entries

Look at your top trigger and riskiest time. For most people, one or two of each cover most of the log.

4

Plan for that window

One if-then plan per trigger, and blocked access during your riskiest hours.

The common triggers

Once you know yours, the Quit Porn Plan Generator turns them into a step-by-step plan. If you're not sure how serious things are, take the Porn Addiction Test.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a trigger?

A trigger is whatever comes right before the urge: a feeling (stress, boredom, loneliness), a situation (alone in bed with your phone), or a cue (a suggestive post in your feed). Urges feel random. Logged over a few weeks, they almost never are.

Why track urges I resisted?

Because those are your best data. A resisted urge tells you the trigger AND shows you what worked. If you only log slips, you learn what beats you but never what you beat.

Where is my log stored?

Only in this browser, on this device. It is never sent to us or anyone else, and there is no account. That also means anyone who can open this browser can see it, so use "Delete everything" on a shared device, and know that clearing your browser data erases the log.

How many entries do I need to see a pattern?

Around 10 to 15 is where it gets useful. Most people find one or two triggers and one time window cover the majority of their urges. That's the window to plan for.

What do I do once I know my triggers?

Make an if-then plan for each one: "If I'm in bed with my phone after 11, then the phone goes on the charger in the hall." Then block access during your riskiest hours. The Quit Porn Plan Generator builds these plans for you.
